Have you ever wondered when the best time for newborn photos was? I have an answer!
Everyone speaks about how essential your wedding photographs are when you get married. They are in fact, an excellent way of preserving the highlights of that lovely day.
However, photographs of your children as newborns carry the most sentimental value for a lot of families. Bringing a baby into your family is an unforgettable moment, and since the newborn stage lasts so momentarily, you will want to cherish and capture the moments before your baby grows up right before your eyes. I bet you have heard the myth that babies beyond 2 weeks are out of the window for a newborn session. That is not true at all and really depends on the photographer.
Newborn Photography Age Range | Newborn Photographer Atlanta
Generally speaking, the best time for newborn photos is within the first 2 weeks of baby being born. Why? Because babies are still at ease and are comfortable in the curled-up positions before the two-week mark. They tend to are sleep for a longer durations of time and are still not fully conscious of their limbs. They frequently favor those adorable “baby burrito” wrap positions! Occasionally newborn sessions will be scheduled beyond this range due to NICU time, cultural reasons, and/or parents not knowing when to schedule your newborn session.
When to Schedule a Newborn Photoshoot | Newborn Portraits Atlanta
I recommend that you consider researching photographers in your area and find one you love during your second trimester. Each any every photographer offers a different experience and end product. Starting the search early is to be sure to have it checked off of your “to-do list” before babies arrival.
Once you decide to secure your newborn photography session with Brenaya Faye Photography, your due date will be placed on my calendar for booking. When your baby arrives we will schedule your newborn session within those first few weeks. Babies tend to almost never come on their due dates which is why your due date is what is used to book your session.
Older baby newborn photos | Atlanta Newborn Photographer
Your baby is out of the 2 week mark, now what! No worries at all! Babies are still sometimes able to be posed in those curled up newborn poses after the 2 week mark if they are sleepy. However, the older they are the more alert they will be and the more aware of their limbs they are. Typically I will use some modifications for older baby newborn sessions and it is important to know the expectations as a new parent. Older baby newborn sessions are usually done with baby wrapped for majority of the session or placed in natural poses but this is all dependent upon baby as every baby is different.
I look forward to creating memories for you that you will cherish forever and pass down to generations!
