At Brenaya Faye Photography, newborn sessions are more than a photoshoot. They are a refined, full-service experience designed to preserve the earliest days of your baby’s life with intention.
Those first weeks pass in a beautiful blur of tiny details: delicate eyelashes, curled fingers, sleepy stretches, and the quiet moments of connection between you and your baby. My role as your newborn photographer in Lincoln NE is to slow that time down and transform it into timeless artwork your family will treasure for generations. Your session will take place in our beautifully cozy curated space in south Lincoln just off of S 48th and Meredeth St.
A luxury client wardrobe is available for both mothers and newborns. This allows you to achieve an elevated, cohesive aesthetic without the stress of planning outfits or preparing for the session.
During your newborn session, I use a gentle, baby-led approach to posing that prioritizes your baby’s comfort and safety. Sessions are unhurried which allows time for feeding, soothing. The portraits taken become heirlooms for your family: artwork that will live on your walls, in your albums, and in the hands of future generations.

In addition to studio portraits, Brenaya is available for Fresh 48 hospital sessions throughout Nebraska, capturing the raw, tender moments within the first few hours of your baby’s life. For families who prefer the comfort of home, she also offers in-home lifestyle newborn sessions.
What to expect before, during and after booking
Step 1 : Inquiry
Send an inquiry form below and I will reach out to you via email to discuss package options for the session type you are interested in.
Step 2 : Consultation
Once you reach out via the contact form I will contact you via the way you choose to be contacted. Which will discuss the details of a newborn session, the experience, and what is all included and your vision for your dream session.
Newborn sessions are ONLY done on weekday mornings. Weekend sessions -available for an additional fee.
Step 3 : The session
The day has arrived! I will have all of the newborn set ups ready to go. My approach is very simple and minimalist.
Neutrals are my go to as they are very timeless. I also have an array of color options for your newborn session set ups. Once you have completed the pre-session questionnaire with the color decisions, the studio will be set up and ready to go with your preferences.
All you have to do is have baby ready to shine and kick your feet up and relax. Newborn photoshoots DO include parent poses as well as sibling poses unless you choose the dainty newborn package.
Step 4 : Gallery reveal/ Image Selections
The best part!
Approximately within 3-4 business days following your newborn photography session, I will send you over your proofing gallery via an online password protected gallery. This is the time where you will choose your favorite images for editing.
Step 5 : Delivery
Your gorgeous products and/or digital images are ready to go to their forever home within 3-6 weeks from when I receive your final image selections back. I will reach out to you once your products have arrived and we will schedule a time for me to come hand deliver them to you! There is nothing more amazing than having tangible products which are now the focal points in your home for years to come.

FAQ- Newborn Photography Session
Can siblings join in on the session?
They absolutely can! I do these photos towards the end of the session. So I ask if there are siblings that it is best if another parent is around to hang out with them while we are shooting baby by themselves or another parent/relative/friend bring them towards the end of the session when it is time for parent poses.
Newborn sessions take anywhere from 2.5-3 hours in length and little ones do not like to sit still for very long waiting for their turn to be photographed.
How old should my newborn be for photos?
Newborn portraits are best done within the first 3 weeks of your baby being born with the sweet spot being within the first 11-18 days following delivery. Your baby will be very sleepy still at this age and won’t mind being posed in squishy newborn positions. After this age range babies tend to not be as sleepy and are more alert during their session; which can mean your newborn session could take a little longer.
When should you schedule your Newborn Session in Lincoln with Brenaya Faye Photography?
It’s highly recommended to schedule your newborn photography session before your baby arrives.
If you want a guaranteed spot it’s best to book at least 4 weeks to 3 months prior to your due date.
When booking your newborn photoshoot with me I will tentatively put your due date on my calendar and once you deliver we will schedule a firm date for the session within those first Three weeks of baby being born.
I only schedule a certain number of clients a month so be sure to secure early.
Do you provide digital images?
Yes, all packages include digital files. Although I do believe that your portraits do deserve to be displayed beyond digitally! The Raw/Un-edited images are not provided to client.
What should I wear for the family portion of the newborn session?
It’s best to avoid bright colors and clothing with logos. Creams, neutrals, blacks and grays photograph beautifully and are very classic and timeless. I also love the look of textures/ simple patterns.
The shooting space will be kept nice and warm during the session (by a portable heater) to keep baby comfortable and cozy. So you will want to wear something light and then change into your clothes for the family portion when it is time.
I do have a client closet with dresses/gowns/ tops for mama and siblings if you wanted to wear something in the client closet.
Where do newborn sessions take place?
Specializing in Newborn Photography in Lincoln Nebraska, I aim to serve all clients in and around Lincoln and Omaha Nebraska areas. Your newborn photoshoot will take place in the comfort of your own home or at my private studio located at 4203 S 48th St. in Lincoln.
Newborn sessions are done on weekday mornings starting at 9-10am. Weekend availability is available for an additional fee.
Your Nebraska Newborn Session Experience
Your precious new baby will be here before you know it, thank you for considering Brenaya Faye Photography to document the most precious first moments with your baby that you will hold onto forever. Your newborn photography session will typically be held between 6-18 days after baby’s birth. This all depends on the wellness of both baby and Mama. Thus, I only need your due date to hold your spot at booking.

Please allow 1-3 hours for the session time, newborn sessions are kept as simple as possible as I strive to keep the focus on your baby. I have many props, outfits, headbands & hats which are all are available for use during your session. Parent and siblings are always welcome to join in on the newborn photo session. My studio is located in Lincoln, however have many clients travel from Omaha and surrounding areas for their newborn sessions.
I only book a certain amount of newborns a month so please book in advance.
Is your baby older than 18 days old? That is perfectly fine! Older babies are such a delight to photograph too! Although infants that are under 18 days old are a little easier to pose, it is definitely still possible to get beautiful older newborn photos done! They always say it must take a lot of patience and practice to be an amazingLincoln Newborn Photographer . Indeed it does but I love every second of it!
