Indiananapolis Fresh 48 Photographer
As an Indianapolis Fresh 48 photographer, I document the quiet, emotional first hours after your baby arrives with natural hospital newborn photography. Fresh 48 sessions capture your baby’s tiny details, first cuddles, sibling introductions, and the moments you’ll want to remember long after you leave the hospital.

The first hours with your baby are a blur, the tiny hospital bracelet, wrinkled toes, sleepy stretches, first feedings, and the way they fit perfectly against your chest.
As an Indianapolis Fresh 48 photographer, I document these fleeting details during your baby’s first days in the hospital in a natural, relaxed way. There is no elaborate posing or studio setup, just your new baby, your family, and the beginning of your story together.
Your session is intentionally unhurried and designed around feeding, recovery, and everything that comes with those first precious hours.

An Alternative to Birth Photography
You may want photographs of your baby’s earliest moments without having your birth or labor documented.
A Fresh 48 session offers the perfect middle ground. I join you after delivery, once you’ve had time to settle in and meet your little one, to document those first fleeting details in a relaxed and unobtrusive way.
From tiny hospital bracelets and bassinet snuggles to first feedings and introductions with siblings, these photographs preserve the beginning of your baby’s story without photographing the birth itself.
Why book a Fresh 48 session?
Your baby will never be quite this little again.
Fresh 48 photography is intentionally different from a traditional posed newborn session. Rather than bringing in a studio setup, I document your family exactly as you are during those first days together.
Your baby’s tiny features, the way they curl against your chest, your partner holding them, sibling introductions, and all of the beautiful in between moments become part of your family’s story.
No elaborate posing. No pressure to look perfectly put together. Just your family and your brand-new baby.

Fresh 48 Photography in Indianapolis Hospitals
Your baby’s first days deserve to be remembered exactly as they felt. Fresh 48 sessions take place during your hospital stay, allowing me to document those tiny details and first connections before you bring your baby home.
I offer Fresh 48 photography throughout Indianapolis and surrounding Central Indiana, traveling to area hospitals and birth centers when visitor and photography policies allow.
Because babies arrive on their own schedule, your session is reserved using your due date. Once your baby arrives, we’ll communicate to choose the best time for me to visit during your hospital stay.
Delivering outside Indianapolis? I also serve families in Lafayette, West Lafayette, Carmel, Fishers, Westfield, Zionsville, and surrounding communities.
THE FIRST HOURS, JUST AS THEY WERE
Tiny details. First introductions. The beginning of your family’s newest chapter.
Fresh 48 Photography FAQs
What happens if my baby arrives early or late?
Babies rarely follow a schedule! Your session is reserved based on your due date, and I keep flexibility around that date. Once your baby arrives, simply let me know as soon as possible and we’ll coordinate your Fresh 48 session based on your recovery, hospital stay, and availability.
When will my fresh 48 session take place?
Fresh 48 sessions are typically photographed within the first 48 hours after delivery while you are still in the hospital. The exact timing will be coordinated after your baby arrives.
What happens if I don’t feel camera ready after giving birth?
You don’t need to be. Fresh 48 sessions aren’t about perfectly styled hair, makeup, or outfits. They’re about documenting your baby’s tiny details and the connection between your family during those first days. I’ll gently guide you when needed while keeping everything natural and comfortable.
Can my partner and siblings be included?
Absolutely. Parents and siblings are encouraged to participate. First introductions between siblings and a brand new baby often become some of the most meaningful photographs from a Fresh 48 session.
What should we wear?
Keep it comfortable and simple. Neutral colors, soft textures, and minimal patterns photograph beautifully in a hospital environment. I’ll provide guidance before your session so this is one less thing you have to worry about
What happens if my hospital has visitor or photography restrictions?
Fresh 48 sessions are subject to your hospital’s current visitor and photography policies. If restrictions affect our ability to photograph your session as planned, we’ll discuss the options available to you.
Whats the difference between a Fresh 48 session and an In-Home newborn session?
Fresh 48 photography documents your baby’s first hours in a natural, documentary style using the hospital environment around us. An in-home newborn portrait session is a more polished studio-style experience where I bring professional lighting, backdrops, wraps, props, and wardrobe directly to your home.
You’ll Never Get These First Days Back.
The hospital bracelet will come off. The tiny bassinet will disappear. Your baby will uncurl, grow, and change faster than you expect.
Your Fresh 48 photographs allow you to remember exactly how small they were and exactly how it felt to finally have them in your arms.
Fresh 48 sessions are available throughout Indianapolis, Lafayette, West Lafayette, and surrounding Central Indiana communities.
