Congratulations you are expecting a baby or babies!! Now I bet this question has run through your head a few times- when to book your newborn session? Most new parents don’t have the time nor energy to be calling around trying to find a photographer after their baby is born. So it is very important to book a newborn photographer before your new precious bundle arrives.

When is the best time to book Newborn Photos?

You definitely do not want to wait until after your baby is born to book a photographer, Why? Because many photographers book out months in advance, also booking your newborn session in advance saves you the stress and hassle. You will also want to be sure that whichever photographer you do choose is the best fit for your families needs and wants for the specific vision you have so when you book in advance you are able to find the perfect photographer for you!

The best time to book your newborn photoshoot would be when you are in your second trimester.

What happens after my newborn portrait session is booked?

All photographers are different with their booking process, I will explain my process with you. When you reach out to schedule your newborn photography session, we will first have a brief consult to see if we are a good fit for each other. If so YAY! The only payment needed to secure your session is the retainer. Collections are purchased separately after your session this way you can see all of the images taken and only purchase the ones you absolutely LOVE!

I will then place your due date on my calendar. I only schedule a few newborns a month so this is also why it is important to book your newborn photography session early.

Once you give birth I ask that you contact me within 48 hours of birth to notify me of babies arrival. We will then discuss a firm date for your newborn studio photography session at my studio which is located 25 minutes west of Atlanta GA in Hiram. This is where the fun comes in, I send you over a prep guide and questionnaire to help you prepare yourself and your baby for a stress free session. You tell me colors you love and colors you hate so I can create dreamy set ups for your baby.
